Hogan Lacrosse Announces 2013 Sponsorship Agreements
Dick’s Sporting Goods, Nike and STX to continue as tournament partners

Every sports team needs a strong starting lineup to be successful. Hogan’s Lacrosse has assembled a powerful lineup of heavy hitters to support its popular series of club tournaments.

Dick’s Sporting Goods, Nike and STX have once again signed on as sponsors of Hogan Lacrosse, one of the nation’s largest and most respected tournament organizers. This year, Hogan’s Lacrosse will have 17,000 players participate in its seven events.

Since its inception in 1948 as a fishing and camping supplies store, Dick’s Sporting Goods has built a strong tradition of supporting athletics in the community. In recent years, the company has amplified its sponsorship presence across a variety of sports, including running, golf and soccer. This marks the second straight year that Dick’s Sporting Goods has sponsored Hogan Lacrosse events.

“Dick’s Sporting Goods has been very aggressive in becoming an important part of the Hogan’s Lacrosse operations, and I think our events have helped Dick’s get its brand name out there with lacrosse players,” Hogan said.

Nike was Hogan’s first tournament partner and the relationship is now entering its sixth year. Nike, the world’s leading supplier of athletic shoes and apparel, has steadily increased its lacrosse presence over the years.

“People associate Nike with excellence so it is quite impactful that Nike has chosen to promote its products at our events,” Hogan said. “I believe Nike chooses to be associated with Hogan’s Lacrosse because we represent excellence as well.”

STX, the world’s leading manufacturer of lacrosse sticks and equipment, sponsors many of the premier collegiate men’s and women’s lacrosse teams in the country. Since its inception in 1970, STX has been at the forefront of developing the finest lacrosse equipment and in the process helped grow the game.
“Our goal has always been to align Hogan’s Lacrosse with the best of the best and STX is one of the standard-bearers of the sport,” Hogan said. “STX has been manufacturing quality products for a long time and it speaks volumes that STX finds real value from the exposure it receives at our tournaments.”

STX will have a booth full of equipment at the various Hogan’s events and will once again allow youngsters to “test drive” a stick through its demo program. The new and improved Proton Power heads and Alliance Flex handles are among the most innovative items that will be available for kids to “try it before they buy it,” STX event marking coordinator Nate Cundy said.

“Hogan Lax puts on great events that feature an extremely high level of play. They are well-run, clean and respectable,” Cundy said. “STX has enjoyed our partnership with Hogan Lax over the years and look forward to another great season of working together.”

This year, Hogan’s Lacrosse will organize and operate six club tournaments: Summer Exposure (June 15-16, Annapolis, Md.); Revolution (June 29-30, Williamsburg, Va.); HERO (June 29, Philadelphia, Pa.), Bay Bridge Brawl (July 5-6, Kent Island, Md.), Hogan’s Hershey (July 13-14, Hersey, Pa.) and Kris Kringle Invitational (Dec. 28-29).
