Spring & Summer 2012
Adding a 10th Grade High School Team & a 3rd Grade Team
4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Teams also
Hawks for the summer of 2012 will initiate a 10th Grade high school team. The Hawks will be adding a high school team each year for the next two years.
Tryout Dates and Times. All tryouts will be held at the Severn School
Additionally, all those that make a HAWK team for the 2012 summer will have the opportunity to participate in HAWK Skill Sessions, tournaments, and events for the entire year. If you only wish to play in the summer that opportunity will be available also.
WHERE ARE THE PLAYERS FROM
All Over
Our players are from all over. Part of this experience is to meet new players from other areas. Bayhawk rosters have had players from Annapolis, Severna Park, Arnold, Davidsonville, Hyattsville, Bethesda, the Eastern Shore, Washington, DC; Calvert County, Salisbury and Pasadena; and everywhere in between. The players enjoy playing with players they have played against all spring and ones from all over Maryland; all programs and regions are important and valuable to us.
HAWKS alumni and current players represent the following high schools: Gonzaga, Severn, St. Mary's, Spalding, Kent Island, Queen Annes, Broadneck, South River, Annapolis, Severna Park, St. Albans, North Caroline, DeMatha, plus others.
We have our first group of players now committing to colleges. A partial list of college with HAWKS on their roster will be: Harvard, Georgetown, Cornell, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, UMBC, Mt. St. Mary's, Virginia, Fairfield, Ohio State, Towson, Salisbury, Washington College, Franklin & Marshall, Gettysburg, Stevenson.
We look forward to having players get to know one another and create friendships in addition to becoming teammates and better lacrosse players.
The teams will participate in various tournaments, depending on grade level, attend a minimum of 6 practices and have the opportunity to improve individual skills in our voluntary Skill Sessions. Please see our calendar for “tentative” dates for all the events below along with a brief description of each. The experience of the players over the last two years has been extremely positive with an improvement in their game, having fun with players they have competed against, and spending weekends with their families during some of our “hotel” tournaments.
We believe in the opportunity for players to play with players from all over the local area. The experience for young people to play with guys they normally play against allows them to develop friendships they normally would not be able to.
This is not just a tournament team. It is about more than playing. We are about developing the individual player with skill sessions, as a team player with practices and game awareness with games.
We are about DEVELOPING the player.
Teams by Grade: 3 through 10
We wish to provide the lacrosse players of this area a competitive lacrosse experience throughout the summer months. The
The tryout numbers and competitiveness will determine if we will have more than one team per grade. At this time our interest is high.
This is about being on a very competitive team and becoming a better player through competitive tournaments, quality coaching and player effort.

2014 and 2105 Teams Capture Madlax Classic CHAMPIONSHIPS
For 2011 we will enter a U11, U13, and U15 team on November 27, 2011
There will be a $50 fee for each player to participate. We may combine teams if necessary

Great job by all. I enjoyed watching our teams play. The 2015 team opened the day losing to Next Level, only to seek redemption in the Championship with a 6 goal victory. The 2014 Team made the day very interesting winning a number of their 5 games by a goal.
Congrats to all HAWKS who played.

Black and White CHAMPIONS
White, after being very close two other times this summer, break through with a 5 game sweep and the Championship. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and parents. It was a great way to end the summer for White.
Black was once again Champions. In all of the tournaments they played in that crowns a Champion, they won. It was impressive. I was impressed. It was a wonderful summer.
Green was their last game of the summer in Overtime. How fitting, they have been in so many one goal games this summer. Congrats to the Green team, great way to finish the summer.
Blue started the summer out winning all of their games in Summer Exposure, getting into the Championship at the Jersey Shootout. We are very proud of the Blue team for their start.

Congratulations to Black, once again, for winning the Championship! Great win after being down a bit. The defense was once again outstanding and in the Championship the offense found its groove and went on a scoring spree. Congrats.
White experienced a terrific tournament and learned a lot. After losing their last game on Saturday, by an uneven score, they came back to beat the same team on Saturday morning: coaching! The Championship game was tremendous with 4 goal swings by both teams. The fight, intensity, and competitiveness was great to see. Good things will happen for this team.
Congratulations to BAYHAWK Black they are crowned CHAMPIONS of the jerseyshootout with a 4-0 Record.
Bayhawks Green- was 2-2 with 2 one goal loses they are close to breaking out
Bayhawks White- Loses one game by one wins 3 other games

Future Legends Champsion in New Jersey
I can honestly say playing with the Hawks has been an incredible experience for my kids and for me. We have all made amazing new friends and both of my boys have improved as lacrosse players. Both boys know that being a Hawk means being both a good player and a good person. I appreciate so much that you make good character a part of your program.
