Skill Development for 2009-2010 School Year 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Graders
These are not for beginners
During Skill Sessions each player will be exposed to techniques to improve your game. Offensive Sessions, midfielders and attackmen, will work on their dodging and shooting through various techniques and training methods. Defensive Sessions, midfielders and defenders, work will include but will not be limited to clearing stickwork, footwork, angles of approach, holds and checks. Players:
Each session will be limited to 12 players to allow for partners and for proper coaching supervision and feedback. This is not for beginners. The sessions are open to BAYHAWK and non-BAYHAWK players. 2009 BAYHAWK players will receive a reduced fee.
Coaches:
Matt Hogan, MIAA Coach of the Year, will conduct the skill sessions. Many of the skill development drills St. Mary's recently implemented in their program which allowed the team to achieve a #6 National Ranking will be used.
Other coaches who have proven to be fantastic teachers of the game will participate from time to time.
